About the role:
We are keen to speak to candidates who are interested in helping us to design and deliver services to local government, which:
Delivers strategic asset reviews and develops asset-based business cases, providing a framework for our clients for managing, maintaining, rationalising, repurposing, and investing in assets to maximise long-term value and support local growth ambitions
Develops a strategic approach to securing investment by developing and setting up trading companies, joint ventures and partnerships
Provide delivery expertise via complex, high-value procurement exercises and route to market advice
Promote place-based investment approaches that drive inclusive economic growth and long-term value for local communities
Leverage public investment to catalyse regeneration and sustainable growth through local economic strategies
Shape coherent long-term place strategies that align spatial planning, economic growth, infrastructure and housing delivery into investable programmes
Develop funding and investment strategies that blend grant, borrowing, capital receipts and commercial income streams to maximise leverage
Develop HM Treasury Green Book compliant business cases and support post-investment evaluation and benefits tracking to demonstrate impact and inform future investment decisions
About you:
We’re looking for a director to play a leading role in the growth of our Place, Investment & Development practice. You’ll have significant experience in management consulting – delivery and business development – and leading large and complex engagements.
From economic growth to strategic asset reviews, joint ventures to options appraisals - you’ll need to be comfortable working and leading across the full breadth of our offers. We’d like you to have at least 2-3 areas that you are passionate about and an area of expertise.
You’ll bring energy, drive, and ambition together with a sharp commercial acumen and excellent relationship-building and account development skills. You’ll love solving problems, navigating new territory, and bring a creative and agile mindset that can make a positive impact.
